When two ordinary children are drawn into a magical fairytale forest, they become part of the story of Hansel and Gretel. A spell is sparked due to the incompetence of Muddle and Mix-up, a well-meaning but prankster pair. A tortoise and hare, dressed as ringmasters, who have been charged with keeping the fairytale world in order.
Their hiccups, hoaxes and troublesome tricks cause several well-known tales to collide, creating a world where characters and stories overlap with unexpected and comical results. The children must find a way to navigate the tangled tales, help restore balance to the storybook land and discover how to return home in time for tea.
