‘Printing and Politics’ – The Life of Herbert Ingram and Activities at Navigation House
Herbert Ingram was born in 1811 in Boston and is today known as the father of pictorial journalism, believing that images were essential to communicating news and stories. He led a fascinating life and eventually became a champion of social reform and welfare, representing the constituents of Boston before his untimely end in a shipwreck in 1860.
