Your Local Lincs is a high quality, compact magazine that bridges the gap between local newspapers and regional lifestyle magazines. Now in our 21st year, we have an impressive monthly distribution of over 21,000 homes and businesses. Printed in full colour throughout, our publication contains a range of interesting and relevant news and features about your local area, as well as providing a one-stop shop of useful information from what’s on to community news, puzzles, recipes, competitions, and more.
Additionally, it provides suppliers of local goods and services with an affordable and effective means of advertising their services to the community. In turn, our readers are encouraged to use retailers, suppliers and tradespeople from the local area, helping both the local economy and the environment in the process.

Where are you from? Essex.
When did you start working for YLL? After moving from Essex to Sleaford in 2002, I found it difficult to connect with local tradespeople for our home renovation. This inspired me to launch a community magazine for the Quarrington area in February 2005. Since then, the magazine has flourished—today, it reaches nearly 21,000 readers.
What is your role at YLL? As Director and Sales Manager, I wear many hats to keep things running smoothly.
Favourite thing(s) about your job: I truly enjoy collaborating with local community groups, societies, and organisations, and I take great pleasure in building relationships with both existing and new clients.
Favourite thing about Sleaford / surrounding villages: Sleaford offers a welcome change of pace from the hustle of Essex—I love the tranquility and the stunning countryside. It’s easy to find a peaceful beauty spot to enjoy.
What do you like to do outside of work? Outside of work, I’m currently studying for a master’s degree. I’m passionate about crafting, especially mixed media, and I find working on canvas particularly rewarding. I also enjoy eating out and going to the cinema to catch a great film.
Do you have any pets? At home, I’m kept busy by two lively rescue dogs, Sooty and Everest, who bring endless joy and mischief to my life.
