Visitors can look forward to another packed day of entertainment, displays and community spirit when this year’s show returns to the Recreation Ground on Boston Road.
Although still a relatively new venue for the event, organisers say the site has quickly become a popular home for the show. Following feedback from exhibitors and visitors, the layout has once again been refined to improve the positioning of club stands, traders and catering outlets while making the best use of the available space.
Last year’s event attracted a record attendance, with favourable weather helping to draw large crowds throughout the day. Chairman Alan Aistrup is hoping for a similar turnout this year. One of the highlights could be a flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Organisers are hopeful that, weather permitting, visitors will be treated to a display from one of the Flight’s historic aircraft. Details will be confirmed on the day.
The show is once again supporting Rainbow Stars, a local charity that provides support, activities and opportunities for people with disabilities and their families. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the charity’s stand to learn more about its work and make a donation.
Alongside the show itself, a range of markets and attractions will also be taking place elsewhere around the town, ensuring there is plenty for visitors to enjoy throughout the day.
