The Sleaford & District Branch of the Royal British Legion are to hold their 21st Annual Poppy Concert performed by The Sleaford Concert Band, in the Hall of St. George’s Academy, Sleaford on Saturday 24th October 2026, at 7.00pm under the Conductorship of Paul Emmett. Who has chosen a varied and entertaining musical programme showing the prowess of the many talented musicians in the Band. The Concert will conclude with a “Prom style Finale” where flag waving is essential and flags will be provided on the night.

The Branch hope that the public will come along and enjoy a fabulous Concert and unashamed patriotism, designed to raise funds and provide an evening of entertainment by an outstanding local Concert Band.

All funds raised will go to the Poppy Appeal and help the Royal British Legion to continue its work in supporting those currently serving, their families and ex-Service community. There will be a raffle during the evening, an RBL merchandise stall and refreshments are available in the interval.

We are also delighted to be able to welcome once again, two Chelsea Pensioners. Entry will be by programme only at £10, and will be on sale at Moore and Scrupps, Jewellers, South Gate, Sleaford; Sleaford Jewellers, Southgate, Sleaford; Ruskington Co-op Store; and leading up to the Concert, in Sleaford Tesco on certain days. Programmes will also be on sale on the evening at St George’s Academy. There is plenty of car parking space and disabled access.
