The countdown is on to the 141st Lincolnshire Show, one of the county’s largest and most anticipated events, promising two action-packed days of entertainment with brand-new features and returning favourites.

Hosted by the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society (LAS), a registered charity dedicated to educating the public on food, farming and the countryside, this year’s Show will take place at the Lincolnshire Showground on 17th and 18th June.

The annual celebration of country life showcases the best of Lincolnshire, with around 2,500 animals on display, 500 exhibitors and a programme of must-see events that range from educational activities and arts and crafts, to extreme sports and feats of strength.

Among the new attractions for 2026 is a thrilling Dart Chukka Polo Display, delivering fast-paced action and sporting spectacle to crowds. Visitors will be able to experience the skill, speed and precision of the riders and ponies up close in this mesmerising Main Ring performance.

Also appearing this year is the Squibb Freestyle FMX Show, which is set to be an audience favourite with high-energy motocross stunts and impressive aerial tricks.

Fond favourites such as Hawkeye Falconry, the Shetland Pony Grand National and the Shire Horse of the Year Qualifier will return, as well as the popular Lincolnshire Kitchen – which will be hosted by celebrity chef Rachel Green, showcasing local produce and culinary talent.

Back by popular demand is the Lincolnshire Show Beach, which will provide a seaside escape at the heart of the Showground, giving visitors the chance to unwind, play and soak up the summer atmosphere.

With Lincolnshire home to more than 4,500 farms, the Show remains true to its roots with a strong focus on farming and country life. All funds raised through ticket sales are invested in the LAS’ charity work, including the LAS Education Programme, and are reinvested in producing the Show each year.

Advanced tickets can be bought for this year’s Show and are available now, priced at £28 for adults, £10 for children (under 3s are free) and £70 for a family (two adults and up to three children). Visitors are encouraged to book in advance to reduce waiting times on the day and secure advanced ticket prices.

NEW ALBUM A MAN OF TWO WORLDS OUT 8 MAY

An inspired double album featuring a collection of instrumentals and songs on his first new material in 12 years

Acclaimed musician, producer and songwriter Midge Ure is set to embark on his visionary A Man Of Two Worlds Tour this May and June 2026, a bold new live chapter that also marks the release of his brand-new studio album, A Man Of Two Worlds, arriving on 8 May, the opening night of the tour.

 Anticipation has continued to build around what promises to be one of the most distinctive shows of his career. Rather than delivering a straightforward greatest-hits set, Ure has conceived A Man Of Two Worlds as a seamless and immersive concert experience, blending classic tracks and fan favourites with cinematic instrumental pieces to create a continuous musical narrative.

Released on the first night of the tour, the album is Ure’s first collection of new material in 12 years. Divided into two halves, eight instrumental compositions and eight vocal songs, the record mirrors the concept of the live show. While it stands as a powerful statement in its own right, it also provides the creative backbone of the tour, with new material sitting naturally alongside the classics.

The John Godber Company Returns to New Theatre Royal, Lincoln with the Classic Comedy ‘Teechers’

Touring theatre favourite The John Godber Company returns to New Theatre Royal, Lincoln this May with Teechers, the hilarious and hard-hitting modern classic by acclaimed playwright John Godber.

It is the end of term, and Godber’s hilarious comedy masterpiece has been reset for our post Covid times. Bristling with teenage swagger and outlandish imagination, Salty, Gail, and Hobby use their BTEC Performing Arts exam to showcase their work.

What follows is a funny, fast-moving, hard-hitting account of life at Whitewall Academy as they play staff, students and site premises managers, including the new drama teacher Miss Nixon, who has helped get them into drama and changed their lives.

But as Salty, Gail and Hobby conclude their performance and leave state education, it appears that Miss Nixon is moving on too… to the local private school.

A joyful yet biting look at education, aspiration and inequality, Teechers remains as relevant, provocative and entertaining as ever.

Featuring Yorkshire actors Jo Patmore, Levi Payne, and Sophie Suddaby and directed by Jane Thornton, this revival brings fresh energy to a beloved classic.
